Part of Upstate Art Weekend 2026, “Villa Isis: A Nordic–New York Immersive Art Experience,” curated with Oscar Galleri, Lise Ellingsen, and Katerina Sokolovskaya, transforms a Hudson Valley property into a living gallery and sculpture park featuring immersive installations, film, outdoor screenings, and sculpture and lace workshops.
About Villa Isis
Villa Isis is a one-of-a-kind, live-in gallery and creative retreat nestled in the woods of New Paltz. This thoughtfully designed, single-level home features four curated bedrooms, contemporary art throughout, and serene wellness amenities including a yoga room, outdoor sauna, cold plunge, and private nature trails.

The Art
Experience featured works from four celebrated artists—plus over ten pieces available for sale as part of a special fundraiser supporting animal rescue.
The Bedrooms
Each room is an immersive experience featuring the work of a single artist—primarily Scandinavian women and NYC-based creatives—with rotating exhibitions curated by a board that includes Lise Ellingsen and Emily McElwreath. All artwork is available for purchase.
Yoga + Meditation + Sauna + Cold Plunge
Guests can enjoy a dedicated yoga and meditation room indoors, or take their practice outside to the expansive one-acre lawn surrounded by nature.
